The Right System For Your Application
Whirl-Air
begins your pneumatic conveying project by assessing your needs
and plant layout to provide the optimum system to achieve your material
transport goals. Whirl-Air Sales Engineers are industry veterans
who understand how to transport your materials with maximum efficiency.
We
start by analyzing your products in the Whirl-Air Testing
Facility for compatibility to a complete system solution.
In over 50 years in the bulk material handling industry, Whirl-Air
most likely has experience with products of the consistency and
characteristics of the products you want to convey. This experience
places us in a unique position to foresee conveying problems in
plant conditions.
Taking
into consideration the characteristics of your products, your plant
environment, desired transport rates and locations, Whirl-Air delivers
a complete engineered transport system. Your total system solution
may include railcar or truck unloading of your bulk dry products.
Further steps in handling your product can also include storage
silos, weighing, blending and in-plant delivery.
Combining
all of these facets into the development of your system, Whirl-Air
will specify one of our time proven conveying designs to transport
your products:
- Dense
Phase Pressure Conveying
is ideally suited for conveying hard-to-handle, abrasive or fragile
products. These low-velocity systems generally incorporate in
line booster fittings to add required conveying air or gas. Air
courses are typically compressed air.
- Dense
Phase Vacuum Conveying is also a low-velocity
system, used to handle fragile materials where breakage is a concern,
or when higher delivery rates are required.
- Dilute
Phase Conveying Systems
is available in both vacuum and pressure systems. Dilute phase
systems are high-velocity systems with the conveyed materials
held in suspension in the conveying line. Generally used for lower
tonnage demands, products with minimal abrasive characteristics
and installations where product degradation is not an issue.
